The legal profession must have red circled the Cowichan Valley Regional District by now as a big red plum to be picked at will.

Whenever you turn around there they go off into another legal case, suing or being sued, usually due to stubborness and stupidity.

Cowichan Conversations: CVRD Recycling and Waste Manager Bob McDonald Has Been Dismissed

Longtime CVRD Recycling Manager Bob McDonald has been dismissed as the restructuring shakeup at the CVRD continues.

Restructuring seems to be well underway. The CVRD Chair and Directors must share the blame for allowing the organizations rampant growth and high management salaries that brought the CVRD much criticism from taxpayers.

Cowichan Conversations: The CVRD Board Fired CAO Warren Jones-No Reasons Given!

I have criticized the CVRD politicians over their handling of the Eco Depot, contaminated sites, lack of out front debate and I stand by my posts in that regard.

However, on Friday they fired their CAO-Warren Jones from the top management position and I am relieved to hear it.

Our local CVRD government has often been the target of this blog. Their performance has been costly and dismal. I had a front row seat as an elected regional director representing Cobble Hill at the Cowichan Valley Regional District Board Table from 1993 until I stepped down in 2002.
