Vexed, Stressed, frustrated and soaking in calgon

Because In much wisdom there is much indignation: and he that addeth knowledge, addeth also labour.Ecclesiastes 1:18

Back in the day many years ago I thought it would be a good idea to get some higher learning…and the motivation was only so I could find a good job. Well all these years later and no job. But what I do have is an understanding of business basics thanks to my diploma in Business Administration, I also have an understanding of democracy, our political system here in the once great country of Canada thanks to my degree in Political Science and the understanding of justice, fairness, equity, community, compassion, peace, and how important our environment is thanks to an open mind, experience, and critical thinking.Nobody told me that once my mind had soaked up all this stuff I would never be satisfied, that I would be a frustrated, that because I knew a thing or two I would be able to see through the crap that is spouted by those who want to control…and control badly.Yes the boobs that run everything and run it badly. Here on the homefront the useless strata council used to give me pleasure when something happened and I could say I told you so…until I realized that their incompetence just meant that thousands of our money needed to be spent because of their incompetence…and to boot the property values have dropped and now sales of them have ground to a halt. The biggest boob in the land has pushed his luck one too many times with the official opposition and now we are back in election mode…300 million dollars I hear to stage this lesson on overstepping the bounds of democracy…and heck I say 300 million is cheap if we can get rid of this bunch who is lead by power hungry, fear mongering, control freak who is fulfilling his pledge that “You won’t recognize Canada when I get through with it”…and really is that so bad? Change is good we are told…but what the hell do we want to Change and to what?Canada who tourists from other countries would display our flag while travelling because we were the open, caring, peace keepers and rarely did Canadian tourists get attacked, kidnapped or killed. Canada who no matter if it did cost a gazillion dollars had a medical system that allowed you to have peace of mind if you got sick, or were in an accident or even if you just wanted to have a family…no questions…everybody. Canada that had some modicum of governmental control…that restricted the high faluting ways of the big corporations. Canada that treasured our environment. Canada that could always be there to help out in times of need throughout the world and do so in a non judgemental way. Canada who welcomed those who needed a safe home or a homeland that offered more opportunity and helped them to become part of the community. Canada who didn’t care what went on in the bedroom as long as it was between consenting adults. Yes change to what indeed…and what if we liked it as it was? What if we don’t want to live in a country that we don’t recognize?Yes I am vexed, for not only is the concept of Canada increasingly getting more negative in the eyes of the world but us citizens as well are being dirtied from our tar sands oil, from our Prime Minister’s stand on Isreal, his view that emigrants are a cash cow, aid policies for developing countries, ignorance of China and on and on and no amount of soaking in bubbles can soothe my savage breast.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.
